TOGETHER WE CAN! TOGETHER WE WILL REBUILD CORNERSTONE
THE VISION OF THIS CHURCH IS TO BRING THE MESSAGE OF SALVATION AND RESTORATION
TO THOSE WHO ARE LOST, HURTING, AND WHO ARE IN NEED OF DELIVERANCE. TO SEE THOSE
VESSELS RESTORED TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD THROUGH THE BLOOD OF HIS SON JESUS
CHRIST, AND TO SEE THEM EMPOWERED THROUGH THE IN FILLING OF THE HOLY GHOST. IT IS
OUR DESIRE TO EQUIP EVERY BELIEVER WITH THE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE
WORD OF GOD SO THEY MIGHT LIVE A COMPLETE LIFE NEVER LACKING FOR ANYTHING!
A VISION PROMOTES EXCELLENCE
God desires that his church pastor and members of the body serve well on his behalf. This calls for ministry
excellence. Whatever we do for Christ must be done well, not sloppily or haphazardly. In the Old Testament
God required that people give their best when they brought animals for sacrifice (Lev. 22:20–22). This was
excellence in worship. In the New Testament Paul explains that God expects us to put forth our best efforts in
our work. He says to perform as if we are working for him (Eph. 6:5–8; Col. 3:23–24). This is excellence in the
A shared organizational vision promotes a standard of excellence. Deep down, people want to do a good job, to
have a sense that they are effectively and powerfully advancing God's program through their ministry in the
church. The vision casts a picture of what that looks like. It provides a visual, mental measure by which staff and
congregation can evaluate how well they and the ministry are doing.
Cornerstone Worship Center Church of God is a Christ-centered, Family-focused, Spirit-led, Community-
conscious Church with a supernatural apostolic and prophetic mandate.
We have received a heavenly vision to build a church that operates in divine kingdom authority to supernaturally
impact, revolutionize, and win our generations to Christ.
As an assembly of believers, we exist to glorify the Lord through anointed preaching and teaching, consecrated
worship, deeper discipleship, relevant ministries, and community outreach. We have been commissioned and
empowered of the Holy Ghost to bring every believer to his/her "fullest" potential both spiritually and naturally.
We have a compassionate love for the unsaved, unchurched, and unwanted. As such, we are committed to the
following core values:
• Winning the lost to Christ
• Godly leadership
• Anointed preaching and teaching
• Personal holiness
• Dynamic and anointed praise and worship
• Cultivation of deep, meaningful relationships
• Unity, love, and forgiveness
• Building and supporting families
• Reaching and developing youth
• We are a church that's Bible-believing, God-fearing, community-caring, and people-equipping.
Together We CAN.......
2017 YEAR OF HARMONY
Cornerstone Worship Center is a ministry that has been built on principles driven by the Word of God. This
year our Vision is Together We Can 2017
• Ecclesiastes 4:9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil
• ” Matthew 18:20 . For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.
• Colossians 2:2 My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have
the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ,
It is a place where those who are lost, troubled and broken can find strength and healing to their souls. Our
environment is one where everyone can feel the love and warmth of God through the Pastor, his wife, The
Leadership team, and membership and His Holy Spirit. We are a people who honor God and meet the needs of
His Children with the highest level of excellence, integrity and respect. We want to be Gods Hand Extended at
Our vision is to see souls won for the glory of God. To be a church that is different from any other church you
can find in Palestine, Texas. To be a place were you are accepted no matter what your race color or origin.
God has designed a church that is full of love and acceptance for all of Gods creation. We want to be a people
that show their love for God by loving and caring for others. 1 John 4:7-8
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
To be a church that is full functioning of the Fruits and Gifts of the Spirit. Involving ourselves in true worship,
were the manifestation of the Holy Spirit reveals himself, We will learn about them, teach about them, and learn
to have them full functioning in our lives
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new
tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay
hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be
To be a church that is doers of the word and not hearers only, resulting in Gods Blessings being evident in our
lives. In 2014 we want to be a church of refuge, not of hurt and affliction, we want to show people Jesus by
them just watching our lives, which will lead them to our church.
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the
word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself,
and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
To be a church that has authority through the name of Jesus, by pulling down strongholds across our county, and
expecting people to come and their lives be changed forever. We can expect nothing less, if we have the spirit
of God in us, and we let him have full control , then God will change lives.
2 Cor. 10:4-5
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing
into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Our purpose as a church is to seek and find the ones who are dying and going to hell, and show them the way,
This year we want to go out into the community, and share, their hurts and help heal them. Example: Back to
School Bash, Toys for Tots Programs, Feed the hungry Program, have more activities outside of the church.
Letting the community of Palestine know we are here, and we are not going away. Gods Hand Extended
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
To destroy the works of the enemy, (praying against drug use in our teens, alcohol usage that is destroying
homes. Teen pregnancy, Abortion, battery, depressions, mental and spiritual issues
1 John 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God
was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
To teach our people how to work in the ministry, effectively, and with Fire, and excitement
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Our vision for this church is for God to have full control, to grow in leaps and bounds and each ministry to grow
and become stronger in their word, and their prayer life. We want to reach out to the community and grab what
others have sent out as nothings. We want them and need them. We believe that God has blessed this church
with men and women whom he has equipped with the ability to fill the positions they have requested, or been
appointed. Every Church needs vision,
And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that
readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry,
wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. All of these scriptures mean something, our vision or
anyone’s vision can be found right in our bible. After the scriptures are in place then God begins to give
revelation to our new year.
Each Vision that we have shared will continue, and we will press to fullfull the calling of Cornerstone Worship
Center . We have had so many years of Need, desiring Growth, expanding our church and our Vision. That
desire has not gone unheard, we will accomplish everything that God has for our church, in his time.
In 2014 we Merged and joined the Church of God, a step we believe has and will take us places and allows us
more avenues to reach the lost. We see even more change coming in our future, Change to be able to win this
City for Christ.
Goals for 2017

Church Mission Value Statement
We believe that the process of becoming a disciple of Jesus involves: Salvation, Baptism, Prayer, and Ongoing
learning about the Christian life, Regular worship, and participation in activities that utilize one’s spiritual gifts
We value the bible as the inspired Word of God from which Christians learn about God’s truths.
We believe in the importance of stewardship of time, talents, treasures, and the earth’s resources as a sign of a
mature Christian faith.
We believe that evangelism is the role of every Christian.
We believe that our congregation is meant to be multicultural serving one God in unity.
We are a charismatic church, in other words we believe in the contemporary operation of the
gifts of the Holy Spirit as described in. 1 Corinthians Chapter 12
We will be unapologetic but gracious to those that disagree with our charismatic believe or
We are not ashamed of the Holy Spirit, His activities, His gifting, His power or the things He does that are not
natural to our mind or other believers in our society.
We should never compromise our belief or practices for the sake of church growth or social respect.
As we go forward it is our vision and passion to help as many churches and the un-churched gain an
understanding of a healthy church environment.
We will do this through outreach, relationship, conferences, and ministry resources.
Twelve Guiding Values of the Church
These will be enduring values that are upheld, maintained and imparted to future generations.
They are as follows:
• COMPASSION/Philippians 4:5
We will express an attitude and spirit of compassion and mercy balanced with truth to all individuals.
We will be outward focused, with a desire to reach the lost and to heal and restore the hurting.
• EQUALITY/Jeremiah 22:13-16
We will be committed to justice and right treatment of all individuals. We will not show partiality to any
individual or group, and will strive to remain above reproach in all dealings with people.
• EXCELLENCE/Colossians 3:17-23
In every area of ministry and administration we will be representatives for the glory of God. Every
individual and ministry will carry a spirit of excellence embracing continuous effort to do better, and
always striving for God’s best.
• FAITH/Hebrews 11:6
We will be decisive and proactive based on God’s revealed direction and plans. Though we will guard
against presumption, we will not be driven or hindered by fear based on circumstances of the unknown.
• GENEROSITY/2 Corinthians 9:6
We will seek opportunities to generously share our resources and reproduce what God has produced in
us and given to us.
• HUMILITY/James 4:6
The spirit of leadership will be the servant spirit.
• INTEGRITY/Philippians 2:15
We uphold all biblical standards for conduct and reputation for personal, family, business, financial and
community involvement for all individuals in the organization. We will strive to remain above reproach
in all areas, realizing that we represent Christ to the world as His ambassadors.
• KINGDOM-MINDED/1 Corinthians 12:14-27
We will be committed to advancing the work of the kingdom in the body of Christ at large, by
recognizing and supporting other churches and ministries.
• SERVICE/Ezekiel 44
Administration will be the servant of ministry. Administration exists to serve ministry so that it
functions with effective and predictable results. In every area and level of ministry, a servant spirit will
be modeled, mentored and upheld.
• SUBMISSION/ Romans 13:1
We embrace God’s ultimate position of authority (JESUS is the head of the Church) and God’s plan
for delegated authority. We will be submissive and honor all levels of authority. Within CWC we will
ensure that we are always operating according to the delegated authority that God has ordained.
• TRUTHS AND SPIRIT CENTERED/ John 1: 1,14,16
We are committed to being fully grounded in spiritual truth and fully empowered by the Holy Spirit.
The Bible is our road map, and the Holy Spirit is our guide and empowerment to reach God’s destiny
for us as a church.
• UNITY/ Psalm 133
Unity will require us to focus on vision and values. The efforts of every individual will be harnessed to
the vision. A team approach to ministry, problem solving, decision making and operating within the
integrity of our structure will be normal. All disagreement and offenses will be dealt with in a timely and
Everything we 'do' at Cornerstone Worship Center fits into these three categories.
Connect: we live within a network of vibrant relationships defined by the life of Jesus.
Grow: on purpose in sustainable ways; not just by accident.
Serve: we internalize the idea that knowing God and serving is what we were made for.
Our challenge to you is this: at some point in the coming year, participate in at least one opportunity to
(1) be connected in community,
(2) grow on purpose and
(3) make serving a permanent part of your life and faith.
